Overnight Oats with Berries Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mixed fresh berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts or seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Base:
    In a jar or bowl, combine oats, milk, Greek yogurt (if using), chia seeds, honey or syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well to mix everything together.
  2. Add the Berries:
    Fold in half of the fresh berries. Reserve the rest for topping in the morning.
  3. Chill Overnight:
    Cover the jar or bowl and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours), allowing the oats to absorb the liquid and soften.
  4. Serve:
    In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Top with remaining berries and chopped nuts or seeds if desired. Enjoy cold, straight from the fridge!
