Tuna Salad Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon diced celery
  • 1 tablespoon diced red onion
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tuna Salad: In a bowl, combine the drained tuna with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, and red onion. Mix well until evenly combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich: Lay one slice of bread on a plate. Spread the tuna salad evenly on top. Add lettuce if desired, then top with the second slice of bread.
  3. Serve: Cut the sandwich in half for easier eating. Enjoy immediately or wrap for lunch on the go.
